ISIS planning attack on WWE event in Atlanta, Anonymous says
Online activist group Anonymous uncovers ISIS threat against Atlanta WWE event
The FBI are taking the threat from Anonymous seriously and are looking into the possible attack at Phillips Stadium in Atlanta

The WWE provided a statement saying the event will go on as planned
The FBI is investigating a mysterious threat claiming Islamic State terrorists will attack a Sunday World Wrestling Entertainment event in Atlanta.
While agents are taking the alleged threat — forewarned by hacktivist group Anonymous — seriously, they do not “have specific or credible information” that the Philips Arena wrestling match is a target, the FBI said in a statement.
“We have, however, made the proper notifications as we continue to work closely with our law enforcement and private sector partners to keep our community safe,” the statement read.
Anonymous claimed it uncovered the veiled threat days after declaring cyber war on the terror network.
Fighters are planning an assault on WWE’s Survivor Series, Anonymous said in a statement. The wrestling event is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Atlanta’s Philips Arena.
The wrestling match will go on, WWE officials said.
“WWE Survivor Series is currently scheduled as planned while we investigate the matter with federal, state and local authorities,” WWE said in a statement.
The Survivor Series, first held in 1987, is one of WWE’s four original pay-per-view wrestling competitions. This year’s event features seven face-offs including the Diva’s Championship match and a tag team match that puts four wrestlers in the same ring.
A group of online activists reported this week that ISIS is planning an attack on Sunday at WWE event in Georgia on Sunday.
The FBI confirmed that they are taking the threat reported by Anonymous seriously and are looking into the possible attack at Phillips Stadium in Atlanta where the WWE Survival Series is being held at 7:30 P.m. EST.
‘The FBI is aware of reports of an alleged threat that includes an Atlanta, Georgia venue and event. While we take all threats seriously, we do not have specific or credible information of an attack at this time,’ said the government agency to Channel 2 news.

Fox spoke with Jim Butterworth, Director of the Georgia Emergency Management Agency, who said that the threat is not ‘credible’ and that the venue was on a list ISIS made of potential targets.
The Atlanta attack is just one of a slew of ISIS-led rampages allegedly set for Sunday. The terrorists also plotted out attacks at concerts, colleges and churches in Europe and Asia, Anonymous said.
Possible terror targets include a Five Finger Death Punch heavy metal concert in Milan, Feast of Christ the King celebrations in Rome, University Pastoral Day at Lebanon’s Holy Spirit University, an event at Al-Jihad mosque in Indonesia and two music shows in Paris.
Anonymous provided no further details about the attacks.
The hackers said they submitted proof of the plans to the appropriate authorities days ago.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO /ˈneɪtoʊ/; French: Organisation du traité de l’Atlantique Nord; OTAN), also called the North Atlantic Alliance, is an intergovernmental military alliance based on the North Atlantic Treaty which was signed on 4 April 1949. The organization constitutes a system of collective defence whereby its member states agree to mutual defense in response to an attack by any external party. NATO’s headquarters are located in Haren, Brussels, Belgium, where the Supreme Allied Commander also resides. Belgium is one of the 28 member states across North America and Europe, the newest of which, Albania and Croatia, joined in April 2009. An additional 22 countries participate in NATO’s Partnership for Peace program, with 15 other countries involved in institutionalized dialogue programmes. The combined military spending of all NATO members constitutes over 70 percent of the global total.[4] Members’ defense spending is supposed to amount to 2 percent of GDP.[5]
NATO was little more than a political association until the Korean War galvanized the organization’s member states, and an integrated military structure was built up under the direction of two US supreme commanders. The course of the Cold War led to a rivalry with nations of the Warsaw Pact, which formed in 1955. Doubts over the strength of the relationship between the European states and the United States ebbed and flowed, along with doubts over the credibility of the NATO defence against a prospective Soviet invasion—doubts that led to the development of the independent French nuclear deterrent and the withdrawal of France from NATO’s military structure in 1966 for 30 years. After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the organization was drawn into the breakup of Yugoslavia, and conducted its first military interventions in Bosnia from 1992 to 1995 and later Yugoslavia in 1999. Politically, the organization sought better relations with former Warsaw Pact countries, several of which joined the alliance in 1999 and 2004.
Article 5 of the North Atlantic treaty, requiring member states to come to the aid of any member state subject to an armed attack, was invoked for the first and only time after the 11 September 2001 attacks,[6] after which troops were deployed to Afghanistan under the NATO-led ISAF. The organization has operated a range of additional roles since then, including sending trainers to Iraq, assisting in counter-piracy operations[7] and in 2011 enforcing a no-fly zone over Libya in accordance with U.N. Security Council Resolution 1973. The less potent Article 4, which merely invokes consultation among NATO members, has been invoked five times: by Turkey in 2003 over the Iraq War; twice in 2012 by Turkey over the Syrian Civil War, after the downing of an unarmed Turkish F-4 reconnaissance jet, and after a mortar was fired at Turkey from Syria;[8] in 2014 by Poland, following the Russian intervention in Crimea;[9] and again by Turkey in 2015 after threats by the Islamic State to its territorial integrity.[10]

The North Atlantic Treaty was signed in Washington, D.C., on 4 April 1949 and was ratified by the United States that August.
The Treaty of Brussels, signed on 17 March 1948 by Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, and the United Kingdom, is considered the precursor to the NATO agreement. The treaty and the Soviet Berlin Blockade led to the creation of the Western European Union’s Defence Organization in September 1948.[11] However, participation of the United States was thought necessary both to counter the military power of the USSR and to prevent the revival of nationalist militarism, so talks for a new military alliance began almost immediately resulting in the North Atlantic Treaty, which was signed in Washington, D.C. on 4 April 1949. It included the five Treaty of Brussels states plus the United States, Canada, Portugal, Italy, Norway, Denmark and Iceland.[12] The first NATO Secretary General, Lord Ismay, stated in 1949 that the organization’s goal was “to keep the Russians out, the Americans in, and the Germans down.”[13] Popular support for the Treaty was not unanimous, and some Icelanders participated in a pro-neutrality, anti-membership riot in March 1949. The creation of NATO can be seen as the primary institutional consequence of a school of thought called Atlanticism which stressed the importance of trans-Atlantic cooperation.[14]
The members agreed that an armed attack against any one of them in Europe or North America would be considered an attack against them all. Consequently, they agreed that, if an armed attack occurred, each of them, in exercise of the right of individual or collective self-defence,

It’s been over a week since a massive cyber attack paralyzed the nation’s major broadcasters and banks, but the South Korean government is still struggling to deal with the fallout from the incident.
Our Lee Ji-yoon tells us more. South Korea is known as the most wired nation in the world, but the country still remains relatively vulnerable to hacking attacks, such as the ones carried out this week and last.
To address the problem, the ruling Saenuri Party has proposed the creation of a cyber security agency, that would operate under the jurisdiction of the National Intelligence Service.
The growing calls for a “control tower” capable of overseeing cyber security, and dealing with cyber attacks on key national bodies, have been prompted by two recent network failures.
In the most recent incident on Tuesday, several anti-North Korean websites, the website of cable channel YTN, and a computer network used by seven local governments were paralyzed.
It was the second incident in over a week, and it was nearly two hours before President Park Geun-hye was briefed on it.
Meanwhile, the government is still trying to confirm if it was caused by technical problems or a hacking attack.
During a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, President Park Geun-hye ordered the government to quickly and accurately determine the cause of the incidents.
She then called for the creation of a cyber security agency, such as the one proposed by her Saenuri Party.
Currently, a number of government bodies including the National Intelligence Service, the National Police Agency and the military cyber command… handle countermeasures against cyber terrorism.
The main opposition Democratic United Party is opposed to the agency’s creation, saying that giving one agency absolute power over cyber security, could lead to abuses of power, such as surveillance of citizens and access to their personal financial data.
