Max Geron is a Major in the Dallas Police Department. He wrote this.

“Hey man this is Reuben. I don’t know if you heard but there’s a city-wide assist and reports of officers down at the demonstration. I’ve got some guys and we’re headed that way and I just wanted you to know in case you hadn’t heard.”

That was my first indication that something had gone horribly wrong. I glanced at social media and immediately saw throngs of people scattering from the anti-police brutality protests going on in downtown Dallas. I knew it was bad. They reported one officer having been evac’d to the hospital in a squad car – you know it’s bad when cops are evacua…

A Dallas police officer has been arrested and accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a police cruiser while on duty. The officer, La’Cori Johnson, allegedly promised not to take the woman to jail in exchange for sex. Johnson’s arrest is stemming from an investigation that began on October 4th following a report filed by the victim. Lissette Padilla and Elliot Hill discuss whether the alleged assault was an isolated incident, or a reflection of police culture as a whole, in this clip from the Lip News.

Jessica Alba is coming to the defense of ‘The Honest Company’. The actress’ consumer goods company is on the defense after The Wall Street Journal released a story claiming the company’s detergent contains the compound sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), an ingredient they’ve previously expressed consumers should avoid. After a chemist revealed findings that show there is a significant amount of the chemical in Honest’s detergent the company was fast to fire back a rebuttal. THe company released a statement saying, “To set the record straight, we use Sodium Coco Sulfate (SCS) in our brand’s laundry detergent because it is a gentler alternative that is less irritating and safer to use. The Wall Street Journal has been reckless in the preparation of this article, refused multiple requests to share data on which they apparently relied and has substituted junk science for credible journalism. We stand behind our laundry detergent and take very seriously the responsibility we have to our consumers to create safe and effective products.”

My “On the Kitchen Table” videos are mainly aimed at newcomers to multirotors, quadcopters, drones and UAVs, particularly to the DJI product range, and the Phantom line in particular. I have how to’s, product reviews, tips, tricks, hints and information for beginners and those in the early stages of the hobby. I film “on the kitchen table” to show people that, like me, you don’t need a workshop and an array of specialist equipment and years of experience to get started and progress with flying these amazing aircraft and enjoying making great aerial videos and stills. So if you have bought, or are thinking of buying, a DJI Phantom 3, Phantom 2, Phantom 2 Vision or Vision+ or Plus, Inspire 1 or even building your own DJI Flamewheel F450 or F550, or considering the Lily, 3DR Solo, Yuneec or more then you can do it… on the kitchen table!

Which Republican is most likely to impede Hillary Clinton’s race to the White House? Most would say Donald Trump, but FBI director James Comey could be the surprise obstacle on her path to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Washington Post columnist David Ignatius said on Tuesday’s Morning Joe Show on MSNBC that the formal findings of the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server will not help her overcome the perception that she is untrustworthy.

“My gut, Mika, is that Secretary Clinton is probably winning the legal battle but is definitely losing the trust battle. I’m told by defense lawyers I talked to last night [that] this kind of meeting late in the investigation, which appears to have been voluntary–she wasn’t subpoenaed; she wasn’t compelled to come. Defense lawyers only allow their clients to go to such meetings if they are fairly sure an indictment is not coming. That’s not 100 percent, but that is how people read it and that is certainly consistent with what I’ve been hearing.”

Ignatius commented that Bill Clinton’s private meeting with Attorney General Loretta Lynch adds to the public’s perception that the rules do not apply to them.

“On the trust side of this, on how it looks, it seems to get worse and worse. The meeting between Bill Clinton, the former president, and Attorney General Lynch couldn’t have looked worse. There is just no way you’re going to be able to erase that no matter what formal finding is issued.

I think she is going to have to deal with that. The sense that the Clintons think they’re different. The usual rules don’t apply to them. I think that’s out there, and it will be harder to get rid of after this, no matter what the formal finding.”
